Wrestling Team Tops Huntingdon College 30-17 At NWA Duals

Freshman Nathaneal Rankin and sophomore Tracey Eitel both posted two wins at the NWA Duals Saturday in Clarksville to fuel a strong performance by the Eagles. Rankin (125) and Eitel (165) helped the Eagles earn a 29-15 win over Huntingdon College in the final event of the day. Adolfo Sotolongo (285) capped the team's effort with a big win over Kori Walker (Fall 1:30). Also picking up wins against Huntingdon were Russell Miller (157), who defeated Jared Mercer (Fall 6:39); Jacob Sherrill (174 ), who topped Robbie McKenna (Tech Fall 2:34); and Cameron Barnes (197), who defeated Cody Dixon (Dec 6-1). University of Dubuque opened the day with a 30-17 win against the Eagles. In addition to wins by Rankin and Eitel against Dubuque, Jaylen York (Dec 18-13) and Ny'Trell Dean (Fall 5:34) were victorious. 

"I like the response the guys had today against Huntingdon. I was really proud of the fight. They went after positions and made adjustments so we ended up coming out on top of a tough Huntingdon team. I would have loved to walk away with two wins, but in the big picture of things, we got what we needed out of today."
