Buena Vista broke open a tied halftime score by hitting ten second half three-pointers en route to a 100-84 win over the Eagles Saturday. Cordy Winston scored 16 of his 22 points in the first half and helped the Eagles hold a 46-46 tie at halftime. Buena Vista's defense couldn't slow the hot-shooting Winston, who went 5-of-6 from the field and 5-of-6 from the free throw line, in the first half. The Eagles shot a sizzling 64 percent from the floor in the first half, while Buena Vista hit 47 percent. In the second half, Buena Vista made 10-of-20 from the three-point line. The Eagles outshot Buena Vista from the field (56% to 48%) in the second half, but were outscored 54-38. Buena Vista scored 26 points in the final nine minutes of the game. Winston was named to the All-Tournament Team. Bryson Johnson added 20 points.
