Eagles Finish Final Five Minutes With 15-5 Run To Post Win

The Eagles took control of the final five minutes of the game to pull out a 75-67 win against Concordia University Texas Saturday. The Eagles trailed 62-60 at the 5:10 mark of the second half, but went on a 15-5 run to finish out the game. Cordy Winston started the burst with a pair of free throws and then followed with a jump shot on the Eagles next possession. Tim Turpin then nailed a three-pointer to put the Eagles in control the rest of the way. Winston posted a team-best 21 points and hit 8-of-8 from the free throw line. Cory Wilhelm and Bryson Johnson both had 14 points and six rebounds. Turpin finished with 11 points.

The Eagles finished the final five minutes of the game on a 15-5 run to secure the game.


Cory Wilhelm provided a big presence inside for the Eagles scoring 14 points and pulling down six rebounds. Wilhelm went 6-of-7 from the field to cap his best scoring output of the season.
