Overview: A big two-out RBI double in the seventh inning proved to be the difference as Louisiana College escaped with a narrow 4-3 win in game one. Eagles pitcher Abby Mork struck out the first two batters in the top of the seventh, but Desiree Squires ripped a double to centerfield for the potential game-winning run. Abby Sterling then followed with another double to drive in Squires. In the bottom of the seventh, the Eagles put a runner in scoring position as Tori Reiber singled and then stole second. From there, the Wildcats found a way to get the final two outs. In the third, Paige Lee drilled a double to right field to push across Hailey Ostrander and Elisa Cantu. The runs trimmed the deficit to 3-2. The Eagles got a clutch run in the sixth when Lee drew a bases loaded walk, but couldn't muster any more runs. Megan Madden went 3-for-3 to lead the Eagles at the plate and Lee went 1-for-2 with 3 RBI. Abby Mork suffered the loss in a complete game. She had five strikeouts.
