The $10.75 million Lonnie R. Qualls Baseball Field at the Wilson Athletic Complex is one of the best NCAA III baseball fields in the country. The all new baseball-specific turf field includes LED lighting and a covered grandstand. The field includes a baseball-only locker room, an athletic training room and a press box. The lockerroom features 35 individualized lockers and a bathroom and shower area. Unique among any NCAA III baseball field is an area atop the lockerroom where fans can enjoy a spacious viewing and barbeque area. The field is equipped with YakkerTech, a partner of the MLB and numerous colleges across the country. Yakkertech is the most advanced player development software on the market that calculates ball movement, spin and ball flight observation. Yakkertech is a proven technological tool that ingests performance data and provides powerful insights and solutions to players. The field also offers MLB-type video streaming capabilities to enhance the fan experience watching from home. The field has eight cameras for a variety of views, including a state-of-the-art centerfield camera with 40x zoom capability. The pressbox houses a television studio style control room for live video production.
