NCAA III Cross Country Regional Championships

Eagles Prepare For NCAA III Cross Country Regional Championships

Clarksville, Ark. - Three runners from the University of the Ozarks women's and men's cross country teams will compete in the 2024 NCAA III Midwest Regional Championship on Saturday, November 16 in Rock Island, Illinois.

On the women's side, Chloe Weathers and Macy Weathers will represent the Eagles at the race. This marks the second straight year Chloe Weathers has competed in the NCAA III Regional. Chloe Weathers is coming off an All-Conference finish at the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) Championships November 2. Her 6k time of 23:05.65 broke her own school record. Macy Weathers finished second among the Eagle runners at the SCAC Championships posting a time of 26:30.86. Macy, a freshman, has been among the most consistent runners on the team.
 
Daniel Sanderson will represent the men's team. Sanderson has been the team's leading runner all season. At the SCAC Championships, Sanderson ran a 27:19.44 for 33rd place. Sanderson competed in last year's regional in Iowa.

Saturday's start time is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. for the women's 6k and 12:00 p.m. for the men's 8k.
