Clarksville, Ark. – The Eagles competed in the Drury University Open on Saturday in Missouri with four wrestlers finishing among the top-six.

Shelton Chastain (125) and Javin Douglas (133) had fourth-place finishes in their respective weight classes. Clyde Adams (133) had a fifth place finish while Reign Creech had a sixth place finish.

Chastain won by fall over Carter Foglesong and after a loss to an opponent from University of Missouri, came back with a tech fall win against Justin Shaw from Ouachita Baptist University. Chastain won by tech fall over Ryder Clark from Carl Albert and won by fall over teammate Reign Creech before losing to Luqman Masud from University of Missouri. Douglas won by forfeit over D`Andre Brown from Fort Hays State University and then lost to James Anderson from Ouachita Baptist University by decision. He won by decision over Evan Benitez from McKendree and won by fall over Brayden Cash from Ouachita Baptist. In the third place match, El Kirk from Central Oklahoma won by decision over Douglas. Adams won by fall over Badger Andrade from Northeast Oklahoma A&M and then lost to Peter Rolle from Central Oklahoma by fall. Adams came back to win by fall over Daniel Bauer from Fontbonne University. El Kirk from Central Oklahoma then won by tech fall over Adams. Adams would win by major decision over Brayden Cash from Ouachita Baptist University in the fifth place match. Creech won by decision over Justin Shaw from Ouachita Baptist University and won by fall over Brock Taylor. He lost in the semifinals and then teammate Shelton Chastain won by fall. In the fifth place match, Bryson Humphries from Drury University won by decision over Creech.

The Eagles will travel to Arkadelphia to take on Ouachita Baptist University November 20.
