Nashville, Tenn. – The Eagles posted a 2-2 record at the competitive Gator Boots Duals on Saturday in Nashville, Tennesee, and a pair of wrestlers went 4-0 each.

The Eagles opened the day with a 22-19 win over Ursinus College.and then followed with a 27-19 win against Dubuque. The Eagles would lose their final two bouts against Millikin (36-6) and Cornell College (34-10).
Shelton Chastain had a strong weekend going 4-0 at 125. Demetri Teddlie displayed dominance as he went 4-0 for the Eagles.

"It was a great weekend for us," said head coach Vinny Barber. "We were a little banged up throughout the lineup, but the guys performed well. RC did a great job sealing the dual against Dubuque. Demetri went 4-0 and so did Shelton. Shelton had a great weekend beating an opponent ranked higher than him. That kid is wrestling out of his mind right now and it's very exciting. Weekends like this are a great litmus test to see our continued growth as a program.  This performance was a good way to end the semester and head into a short break before we hit the second semester and preparations for the post season."

The Eagles will next travel to St. Louis for the Maryville University Open on January 5.
