Overview:
Clarksville, Ark. –  Mack Lucio spun a four-hit shutout to lead the Eagles to a 6-0 victory over Austin College in game one Friday night. Lucio walked one and struck out one as she faced 24 batters in a complete game. Lucio got a huge boost from Paige Morton, who blasted a two-run homer in the first inning. The Eagles didn't score again until the fourth inning. Aryonnah Briggs doubled in a run and Skylar Ward scored on a wild pitch. The final run in the frame came on a Rayli Ruby RBI single. Meanwhile, Lucio allowed only two hits after giving up two in the first inning. She would help her own cause by recording a sacrifice fly to score Ward in the sixth. Lucio then retired the side in the sixth and seventh inning to complete the shutout. Morton, Briggs and Ruby each had two hits.
