THE BASICS 
The Eagles competed in the 5K University of Arkansas Chile Pepper Festival on Saturday in Fayetteville. The Eagles had a strong showing against tough competition finishing ninth overall as a team. Chloe Weathers paced the Eagles with a time of 19:41.8 for 18th. Macy Weathers followed with a time of 21:12.7 for 51st place. Savannah Williams ran a 22:03.5 for 71st place. Ella Thompson was 72nd with a time of 22:08.6. Kjersta Lybbert placed 99th with a time of 22:46.3 and Dakota Newcomb ran a 28:03.0 for 170th place.
