Springfield, Mo. – A pair of wrestlers had fourth-place finishes and three others had sixth-place finishes at the Drury University Open on Saturday in Springfield, Missouri.
 
The Eagles had 11 pins on the day. Andrew Dado had three pins, tying him for second at the Open. Shelton Chastain (125) and Javin Douglas (133) each placed fourth. Julian Banda (157), Tristen Riemer (165) and Tony Hatley (197) all had sixth-place finishes. 

Chastain won by fall over Emanuel Trotter (William Woods University) (Fall 1:13) and then won by tech fall over Mason Gillispie (Northeast Oklahoma A&M) (TF 17-2). He won by decision over Tanner Putt (Neosho County Community College) (Dec 11-5) before losing to Jeremiah Reno (University of Arkansas Little Rock). Chastain battled back to win by major decision over Jose Salinas Nava (Shreiner University) (Maj 12-4). In the third place match, Carter Foglesong (Northeast Oklahoma A&M) won by decision (Dec 8-6). Douglas opened with a win by fall over Marshal Mansfield (Northeast Oklahoma A&M) (Fall 2:21). Douglas followed with a win by tech fall over Deagan Fugitt (Drury University) (TF 23-5). In the quarterfinal, Douglas won by decision over Braden Werdenhausen (William Woods University) (Dec 8-6). Douglas lost in the semifinal by decision (Dec 10-3) and then came back to win by tech fall over Dylan Roth (Drury University) (TF 15-0). In the third place match, Braden Werdenhausen (William Woods University) won by decision (Dec 11-6).
Banda won by tech fall over Caden Smith (Neosho County Community College) (TF 19-3) and won by major decision over Peyton Park (Unattached) (Maj 15-7). In the semifinal, Cole Mayfield (Central Oklahoma) won by fall. Banda would then drop his next two matches.
