Warrensburg, Mo. – Four wrestlers had had top-five finishes at the University of Central Missouri Kaufman Brand Bayly Open on Saturday.
 
Javin Douglas (133) placed second, Ka'Ron Lewis (285) placed third, Shelton Chastain (125) placed fourth and Andrew Dado (149) placed fifth. 

Douglas won by fall over Deagan Fugitt (Drury) (Fall 3:58) and then won by decision over Gavin Alexander (Central Methodist) (Dec 8-1) in the quarterfinal. Douglas followed with a win by injury default over Aidan Sprague (Indianapolis) (Inj. 5:33). In the finals, Gage Walker (Missouri) won by tech fall (TF 16-1) to capture the title. Lewis won by decision over Oliver Cooley (Maryville) (Dec 6-3), but lost to Sean Carroll (Northern Illinois) by decision (Dec 1-0). Lewis battled back to win by decision over Hunter Tennison (Drury) (Dec 10-3). Lewis then won by major decision over Garine Gibson (Central Methodist) (Maj 14-2). Lewis won by fall over Elijah Hinshaw (Indianapolis) (Fall 6:55) to advance. In the third place match, he won by decision over Jake Fernandez (SIU Edwardsville) (Dec 6-2). Chastain opened with a loss against Brian Farley (Quincy). But Shelton battled his way back and won three straight matches. He won by major decision over Kaden Rios (Quincy) (Maj 20-11), won by decision over Brock Smith (Central Missouri) (Dec 4-1) and won by decision over Karim Allal (Central Missouri) (Dec 7-3).
