THE BASICS
The University of the Ozarks men's cross country team delivered a dominant performance on its home course Saturday, winning the team championship at the 2026 University of the Ozarks Invitational. The Eagles finished with 18 points, comfortably ahead of Harding (61) and Northwest Arkansas Community College (75) to claim the title. The Eagles placed seven runners among the top-ten finishers, demonstrating its depth and strength throughout the race. Matthew Dunsworth led the Eagles, finishing second in 25:22.5. Kaleab Haileselassie followed with a fourth-place finish in 26:09.8. Gavin Jasenof had a sixth-place finish in 26:14.9. Ozarks continued its impressive showing with Peyton Jones finishing seventh in 26:22.5 and Henry Lesley placing eighth in 26:34.8. Omarion Shaw was ninth running a 26:40.8. Jase McAbee placed tenth with a time of 26:49.7, Diego Martinez was twelfth with a time of 27:03.2, Jerry Draper was sixteenth with a time of 27:24.6 and Gmar Britton was seventeenth with a time of 27:26.7.
