Clarksville, Ark. – The women's swim and dive team drop its regular season opener against Austin College, 181-93, on Saturday at home.

In the 200 IM, the Eagles placed third (2:10.02). In the 1000 free, Samantha Naramore placed second swimming a 12:05.76. In the 200 free, McKinley Mize placed third with a time of 2:17.27. In the 100 back, Isabel Shelton placed fourth swimming a 1:22.61. In the 100 breaststroke, Ashtyn Smith placed fourth (1:19.17), Katelyn Smith placed fifth (1:21.27) and Aubrey Cantrell placed sixth (1:31.72). In the 200 fly, Cecily Sanchez placed second with a time of 2:50.19. Mize was third (28.19) in the 50 free while Gabrielle Rhodriquez was fourth (42.69). Samantha Naramore won the 100 free swimming a 1:00.58. Mize was fifth swimming a 1:03.15 and Aubrey Cantrell was sixth swimming a 1:16.51. In the 200 back, Sanchez was second swimming a 2:36.21 and Shelton was fourth swimming a 2:57.62. In the 200 breaststroke, Katelyn Smith placed second (2:50.32), Ashtyn Smith placed fourth (3:01.53) and Emma Gilmore placed fifth (3:27.91). In the 500 free, Naramore was second swimming a 5:55.75. In the 100 fly, Shelton placed fourth with a time of 1:23.56. In the 200 IM, Katelyn Smith was second swimming a 2:23.43 and Sanchez was third swimming a 2:34.44. In the 200 free relay, the Eagles placed third (1:52.88) and fourth (2:18.70).

In the 1-meter voluntary five voluntary 9.0, Brianna Devlin was first with a score of 185.25, Cora Carpenter was second scoring 151.60 and Jael Medrano was third scoring 108.35. In the 1-meter 6 optional, Devlin scored a 266.95 to win the event. Carpenter followed with a score of 173.85 and Medrano was third scoring a 114.10.

The Eagles will now prepare for the Hendrix College Relays October 30 and the Hendrix College Invite October 31.
