Garland, Texas – The men's swim team competed in its first day at the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships Thursday.
 
The Eagles had a pair of swimmers compete on Thursday. Aleks Atieh swam a 5:42.47 in the 500 free for 19^thplace in the prelims. John Novinger swam a 24.68 in the 50 free for 26^th place in the prelims.

The Championships continue tomorrow beginning at 10:30 a.m.
