Garland, Texas – The women's swim and dive team competed in day two of Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships Thursday.
Two individual records fell and one relay record for the Eagles.
Jessie Wright set two more records as she swam a 2:15.39 in the 200 medley for first place. Wright becomes the program's first All-Conference performer and conference champion with the win.
Cecily Sanchez swam a 2:28.09 for 16th place. Wright's other record came in the 100 fly where she swam a 1:02.01 for first place in the time trial.
Samantha Naramore swam a 1:04.49 and
Cecily Sanchez swam a 1:05.83. The Eagles had two 400 medley relay teams with one swimming a 4:15.54 for fourth place to set a new program record. The team was made up of
Chloe Weathers,
Samantha Naramore,
Macy Weathers and
Jessie Wright. The other swam a 4:35.21 for 12th place.
In the prelims,
Evelyn Morris finished 21st in the 500 free swimming 6:43.83.
Chloe Weathers swam a 2:27.63 in the 200 IM.
Riley Holcomb swam a 2:38.09 in the 200 IM and
Emma Gilmore swam a 2:59.78.
After two days, the women are in third place with 149 points.
The Championships continue tomorrow beginning at 10:30 a.m.
