Dubuque, Iowa – The Eagles had a strong showing at the opening day of the NCAA III Region VI Regional Men's Wrestling Championships in Iowa on Friday.
Ka'Ron Lewis led the way with a 2-0 record in the 285 pound weight class.
Shelton Chastain (125),
Javin Douglas (133),
Nawab Singh (184) and
Jadaan Anderson (197) will wrestle in the consolation round tomorrow. Lewis recorded a decision and a fall to move to the semi-finals. Chastain and Douglas had a pair of falls in their respective weight classes. Singh had a decision and a major decision while Anderson had a decision and a fall.
Wrestling action will take place for these five wrestlers with national tourney hopes on the line. Wrestling begins at 10:00 a.m.
