Clarksville, Ark. - The University of the Ozarks women's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision to Arkansas Tech University in non-conference play Wednesday afternoon.
Arkansas Tech secured the doubles point by sweeping all three matches. The Golden Suns opened with a 6-0 win at No. 1 doubles and followed with victories at No. 2 (6-1) and No. 3 (6-0) to take early control of the match.
In singles action, Arkansas Tech continued its strong play, winning all six matches in straight sets. Madison Hamilton and Brooke Humphrey competed at the top two positions, while Jayden Vazquez pushed for points at No. 3, taking a game in the first set. Emerson Corbin, Yamileth Lopez, and Baylee Parnell rounded out the Ozarks lineup.
The Eagles will host LeTourneau University March 19 in conference play.
