Clarksville, Ark. - The University of the Ozarks women's tennis team dropped a 7-0 decision to the University of St. Thomas Friday afternoon in conference play.

St. Thomas secured the doubles point by winning all three matches. The duo of Kelsey Smith and Brooke Humphrey put together a competitive showing at No. 1 doubles but fell 6-3. Gabriella Davis and Madison Hamilton dropped their match 6-1 at No. 2, while Jayden Vazquez and Emerson Corbin were defeated 6-0 at No. 3.

In singles play, Ozarks was unable to gain momentum as St. Thomas claimed all six courts in straight sets. Kelsey Smith battled at the top position, while Brooke Humphrey and Jayden Vazquez each showed flashes of strong play in their respective matches. Samantha Naramore closed out the lineup with a determined effort at No. 6.

The Eagles will hit the road next week for matches against Colorado Mesa University and Colorado College March 27.
