Clarksville, Ark. – University of the Ozarks tennis player Kento Iwahara was named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Player of the Week, the league office announced on Monday.  
     
Iwahara, a senior from Fukuoka, Japan, went 2-0 at No. 1 singles to help the Eagles to an undefeated conference record (2-0) last week. Against LeTourneau, he defeated Zach Farris 7-5, 3-6, 6-1. The next day, Iwahara won 6-3, 6-1 against Raja Pandya from St. Thomas (Tex.), with both opponents posting higher UTR rankings than Iwahara.
 
Additionally, Iwahara was part of the SCAC Doubles Team of the Week for this week.
 
 The Eagles will travel to Colorado for matches against Colorado-Mesa and Colorado College March 27.
