Men's Tennis Team Dominates In SCAC Win

Sherman, Texas - The University of the Ozarks men's tennis team delivered a dominant performance on Friday afternoon, sweeping Austin College 7-0 in SCAC play in Sherman, Texas.

The Eagles controlled the match from the start, securing all three doubles points with ease. The duo of Kento Iwahara and Perry Guidry set the tone with a flawless 6-0 win at No. 1 doubles, while Ryan Rosalin and Archie Martyn-Smith followed with a 6-1 victory. Seth Dunn and Luke Boyden capped off the doubles sweep with a solid 6-3 win.

In singles action, the Eagles continued its dominance, winning all six matches in straight sets—five of them in convincing fashion. Kento Iwahara led the way at the top spot with a 6-2, 6-0 victory, while Haru Satomura cruised to a 6-0, 6-2 win at No. 2. Sergio Munoz was nearly untouchable at No. 3, not dropping a single game in a 6-0, 6-0 rout.

Zachary Hanson added another strong performance at No. 4 with a 6-0, 6-3 win, and Nestor Carrero controlled his match at No. 5, winning 6-1, 6-1. Graham Blackman closed out the sweep at No. 6 with a decisive 6-1, 6-0 victory.

Austin College was unable to gain momentum throughout the match as Ozarks dictated play in every position.

The Eagles will face University of Dallas Saturday in Texas.
