Box Score 2 Clarksville, Ark. - Concordia University Texas used timely hitting and a dominant outing in the circle to take down the Eagles 4-1 on Friday afternoon in Clarksville.
Concordia wasted no time getting on the board in the first inning. With two runners on, Lilly Longoria delivered the game's biggest swing, ripping a double to left-center for a 2-0 lead.
From there, Kylie Kirk took control. The Concordia pitcher kept Ozarks off balance all game, scattering five hits while striking out eight over a complete-game performance. Ozarks threatened at times but couldn't string together enough offense against Kirk.
The score remained 2-0 until the seventh inning, when Concordia capitalized on a defensive miscue. Katie Bethke reached on an Ozarks error that allowed two runs to score, extending the lead to 4-0.
Ozarks avoided the shutout in the bottom half of the inning. Sage Adams came through with an RBI double to right-center, bringing home Lori-Ann Hughes to make it 4-1, but that would be as close as the Eagles would get.
Christian Everett led Concordia offensively with two hits and a run scored, while Longoria drove in two runs. Ozarks finished with five hits, including doubles from Adams and Emma Reynolds.
Bailee Cowell went the distance in the circle for Ozarks, allowing four runs (three earned) while striking out five.

Kirk delivered a 3-for-4 performance with three home runs and five RBI. She launched a two-run shot in the second, another two-run blast in the fourth, and added a solo homer in the sixth to cap off a massive night and extend Concordia's lead to 9-2.
The Eagles collected 10 hits of their own but couldn't capitalize consistently. Isabella Hulsey led the way with a 3-for-3 performance and an RBI, while Lori-Ann Hughes also drove in a run.
