Irving, Texas - The men's tennis team delivered a dominant, all-around performance on Saturday, sweeping the University of Dallas 7-0 in SCAC men's tennis action in Irving, Texas.
The Eagles controlled the match from start to finish, claiming all six singles points and sweeping doubles play to secure the shutout victory.
In singles competition, the Eagles were overwhelming. At the top spot, Kento Iwahara set the tone with a flawless 6-0, 6-0 win. Haru Satomura followed with a strong 6-2, 6-2 victory at No. 2, while Sergio Munoz added a 6-3, 6-2 decision at No. 3. Perry Guidry dominated at No. 4 (6-0, 6-1), and Zachary Hanson matched Iwahara's perfection with another 6-0, 6-0 win at No. 5. Ozarks also picked up a forfeit win at No. 6 singles.
In doubles, Iwahara and Guidry secured a 6-3 win at No. 1, while Luke Boyden and Ryan Rosalin battled to a 7-6 victory in the No. 2 slot. Ozarks completed the doubles sweep with a forfeit at No. 3.
The Eagles will now prepare for Concordia University Texas April 17 and Texas Lutheran University April 18.
