THE BASICS
Abilene, Texas - The men's track team competed at the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships Saturday in Abilene, Texas, and one runner advanced to the finals on Sunday. Peyton Jones qualified for the finals of the 800-meter after posting a time of 1:56.89 for seventh place. Also in the 800-meters, Americus Olivier Louis ran a 1:58.41 for twelfth place, Jerry Draper posted a 2:08.54 for twenty-second place and Troy Putman ran a 2:14.43 for twenty-eighth place. In the 10,000-meters, Kaleab Haileselassie had a time of 33:48.77 to place tenth and Jase McAbee ran a 36:24.27 for fifteenth place.
