THE BASICS
Abilene, Texas - The women's track team competed in the final day of the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships on Sunday in Abilene, Texas and had four runners finish in the top-6 in their respective events. In the finals of the 800-meter,
Macy Weathers ran a 2:21.67 for second place.
Savannah Williams ran a 2:38.66 for eighth place. In the 1500-meters,
Chloe Weathers placed fifth running at 5:03.15.
Macy Weathers followed with a sixth place finish running a 5:04.31.
Savannah Williams was seventh running a 5:05.38 and
Bree Lybbert was seventeenth running a 5:35.45. In the 5000-meters,
Savannah Williams was sixth running a 18:58.72 and
Bree Lybbert ran a 21:05.93 for eleventh place.
Macy Weathers was named All-Conference for her second-place performance.
Additionally,
Chloe Weathers was named the Elite 19 winner for the conference, the top academic award for track athletes.
