Clarksville, Ark. - University of the Ozarks tennis player Perry Guidry was named the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Men's Player of the Week, the league office announced on Monday.
Guidry, a senior from Lafayette, La., clinched the match to push the Eagles to a 4-3 victory over John Brown University on Friday. With the match on the line, Guidry defeated Andrew Aylor 7-6, 7-6 at No. 5 singles to secure the non-conference contest. Guidry has posted an impressive nine wins in singles and ten wins in doubles this season.
Additionally, Guidry was part of the SCAC Doubles Team of the Week for this week.
The Eagles will travel to Texas for matches against Austin College April 10 and University of Dallas April 11.
