Clarksville, Ark. – Four University of the Ozarks softball players were named to the 2026 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Softball Academic All-District Team, it was announced this week.
CSC, formerly known as CoSIDA, recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances in the classroom and on the field.
The honorees included Lori-Ann Hughes, a junior health science major from Leland, Miss.; Kamryn Uher, a junior physical education major from Prairie Grove, Ark.; Grace Price, a senior political science major from Siloam Springs, Ark.; and Bailee Cowell, a junior exercise science major from Lamar, Arkansas.
All four were key cogs in the Eagles' record-breaking season in 2026. The Eagles broke the school record for wins (25) and advanced to the championship game of the conference tournament.
To be eligible for the CSC Academic All-America® program student-athletes must have a 3.50 cumulative grade point average, be a significant contributor to the team (must compete in 90 percent of the institution's games played or must start in at least 66 percent of the institution's games. For pitchers, a student-athlete must have made at least 17 appearances or pitched 35 innings.) and be at least a sophomore academically.
