Clay Target Team Adds Another National Championship

Clarksville, Ark. – The University of the Ozarks clay target team won the 2026 SCTP International Trap National Championship today after a dominant performance in Ohio.

The Eagles scored 307 in the competition, well in front of second-place Jacksonville University (281 pts.).

The top three shooters for the Eagles were Ayden Pollock (107), Riley Walerak (103) and Tyler Treadway (97). Pollock was second overall in scoring among individuals. Walerak was third overall and Treadway was fourth among the competitors. Under the direction of coaches Lance Brown and Wyatt McCaghren, the Eagles had its best performance to date at the Marengo, Ohio, event. Pollock was named to the SCTP National Team for his performance.

The Eagles finished third at last season's championships.

The program has won a combined nine individual and team national titles since 2017. The 2026 title is the fourth international trap national championship for the program.
