University of the Ozarks

Vinny Barber '19 enters his third year as the head men's coach at Ozarks. Barber served four years as the assistant coach before being promoted to head coach.

• Guided Demetri Teddlie to NCAA III National Championships (2025)
• Had a program record five placers at NCAA III Regional
• Guided Jake Dado to NCAA III National Championships (2024)
• Won back-to-back SLIAC Championships (2023-24 & 2024-25)
• Voted the 2024-25 SLIAC Coaching Staff of the Year
• 2024-25 team ranked as high as No. 24 in NCAA III (dual)
• Had the 2024-25 SLIAC Freshman of the Year
• During 2024-25 season, had a program record seven wrestlers ranked regionally
• Has had 27 wrestlers earn SLIAC All-Conference honors
• Guided five wrestlers to NCAA III Championships
• Two wrestlers named NCAA III NWCA All-Americans
• Wrestler named Southeast Conference Wrestler of the Year
• 20 wrestlers were individual conference champions 
• Nine athletes have earned a spot on the National Wrestling Coaches Association All-American Scholar Team 
• Helped program to the most dual wins in school history during 2018-2019 season
• Eight wrestlers on SEC All-Academic Team during the 2018-19 season
• 12 place-winners at NCAA III Regional 
• Attended the NWCA Leadership Academy in 2019

• Has coached 11 State Champions, 36 All-State wrestlers and three Fargo All-Americans
