Jimmy Clark

Jimmy Clark transitioned to major gifts officer for athletics in June of 2024 after serving as director of athletics for 17 years. He began his career at Ozarks as the head baseball coach.

At Ozarks 

  • Named Major Gifts Officer for Athletics in 2024
  • Athletic Director in 2007-2024
  • Became university's first full-time Athletic Director in 2015
  • Coached the baseball program 14 seasons
  • Fundraiser for university's 55-million dollar Climb Higher campaign
  • Managed the construction for the new Alexander-Boreham Tennis Center
  • Signed a multi-year deal with UnderArmour (2016) 
  • Assisted with the launch of the athletic department's new visual identity initiative in 2016, which included a new contemporary Eagle logo
  • Increased the university's student-athletes' community service involvement, with volunteer work with the Special Olympics, Salvation Army, Clarksville School District and the Johnson County Boys and Girls Club
  • Posted the baseball program's first winning record in nearly a decade (2005)
  • American Southwest Conference East Division Baseball Coach of the Year (2005)
  • Guided the baseball program to the conference post-season tournament in 2007, a feat not accomplished since 1996
  • Led baseball program to three consecutive post-season appearances (2007, 2008, 2009)
  • Had the baseball program's first national ranking (2008)
  • Led baseball program to a school-best 32-11 season (2008)
  • 2008 club ranked as high as No. 14 nationally

Collegiate Playing Experience

  • Four-year starter at the University of Central Arkansas playing first base, pitcher, outfield and designated hitter

Education

  • Earned his bachelor's degree in Mathematics from the University of Central Arkansas
  • Earned a master's degree in Secondary Education from UA-Little Rock
