THE BASICS
Clarksville, Ark. – Amanda Turpin caught fire in the first quarter hitting five three-pointers to lead the Eagles to an impressive 81-60 win over Hendrix College on Saturday. Turpin poured in 26 points in the game as the Eagles made 13 shots from long-range. Abby Beene went 4-for-5 from the three-point line and finished with 16 points. But it was Turpin who proved to be unstoppable in the first quarter as she scored 18 points in a little over six minutes of play. The Eagles led 39-37 at halftime, but outscored the Warriors 23-9 in the fourth quarter to take the win. In the fourth, Beene would hit two three-pointers, Destini Powell would hit one from long-range and Turpin would hit her final of the game to give the Eagles a double-digit win. Powell and Naomi Smith each posted double-doubles in the game. Powell scored 14 points and pulled down ten rebounds while Smith scored 11 points and had 11 rebounds.

TURNING POINT
Amanda Turpin started the game off on fire hitting five three-pointers in a little over six minutes and never slowed down as she poured in 26 points behind seven three-pointers. 

TIP-INS
Amanda Turpin and Abby Beene combined to hit 11 three-pointers in the win. Turpin also contributed five blocked shots. Destini Powell and Naomi Smith posted double-doubles in the game.
