THE BASICS
Richardson, Texas – UT Dallas opened up a close game in the second half to pick up a 78-67 win over the Eagles on Saturday. The Comets held a narrow 35-32 halftime lead. In the second half, Justice Marmara hit a free throw to pull the Eagles within 57-51 with 7:21 remaining. But the Comets reeled off a 7-0 run after that to take control of the game. The two teams combined to shoot 59 free throws in the contest. Josh Ukpe led the Eagles with 16 points.
