THE BASICS
Conway, Ark.- The Eagles cruised to a 82-43 blowout win over Hendrix College on Monday night pushing their record to 9-1 on the season. The Eagles started the game strong holding a 43-23 halftime lead. The Eagles hit six three-pointers in the opening half and pulled down 37 rebounds. Overall, the Eagles defense was outstanding holding the Warriors to 24 percent shooting from the field. During the second half, the Eagles harassing defense kept the Warriors in check as Hendrix only scored five points over a 12-minute stretch. The Eagles out rebounded the Warriors 62-34 on the night while drilling 14 three-pointers. Cedric Dodd hit five three-pointers and led the Eagles with 22 points. He also had five rebounds and four steals.
