THE BASICS
Marshall, Texas – The Eagles made a run with less than seven minutes to play only to have East Texas Baptist University come away with a 62-58 win on Thursday night. The Eagles trailed by 18 points with 6:52 left in the contest and cut it to six points at the 2:28 mark. Timquorian Johnson scored seven points during that stretch. A Josh Ukpe three-pointer trimmed it to 58-55 with 44 seconds remaining. The Tigers would later force a turnover and then hit a pair of free throws for a five point advantage. Ukpe led the team with 14 points.
