THE BASICS
Abilene, Texas – The Eagles were eliminated from the American Southwest Conference Championship Tournament after Mary Hardin-Baylor won 78-49 in Abilene, Texas, in semi-final action Friday afternoon. Mary Hardin-Baylor raced out to a 19-10 lead in the first quarter and never really let the Eagles back into the game. The Crusaders would hold the lead the entire game. A strong third quarter from Mary Hardin-Baylor all but put the game out of reach. Amanda Turpin led the Eagles with ten points. Naomi Smith was named to the All-Tournament Team.
