GAME THREE
Overview:
Brownwood, Texas – Saige Mahar recorded a sacrifice fly in the top of the tenth inning to push across the game-winning run and Mack Lucio threw a five hit shutout as the Eagles won game three against Howard Payne University 1-0 on Saturday. With Margaret Blackstar on third base, Mahar poked one to right field and Blackstar was able to slide into home plate for the game-winning run. Lucio was fantastic in her ten-inning outing striking out six and walking three. With one out and a runner on third in the bottom of the tenth, Lucio forced a groundout for the second out. Lucio then fanned Jayden Falcon to end the game. The Eagles had four hits in the game with Jessye Rowland recording two of those.
