Aaron Gentry was named Assistant Athletic Director

Aaron Gentry Promoted To Assistant Athletic Director

Clarksville, Ark. - University of the Ozarks has announced the promotion of Aaron Gentry to assistant athletic director. Gentry, who joined the athletic staff in 2015, will continue in his role as head baseball coach.     
     
During his tenure as head coach, Gentry has coached 60 All-Conference players and 111 of his student-athletes have made the American Southwest Conference (ASC) Academic All-Conference Team. Gentry has guided the program to a pair of ASC Championship Tournaments. 

"I am excited to have Coach Gentry serve as our assistant athletic director," said Amy Lloyd, Vice-President for Marketing and Enrollment. "His passion for sports, commitment to student-athlete development, and vision for our athletic facilities will have an impact on our campus community and the future success of our university's athletic programs."     

In his new role, Gentry will oversee game day operations for the athletic department and facilities.     

"I'm excited and grateful for the opportunity to make more of a big picture impact at Ozarks," said Gentry. "I'm eager to help support our coaches as we transition into a new conference with a brand new outdoor athletic complex."  

Gentry's teams have earned the team academic award from the American Baseball Coaches Association multiple times and he has coached numerous All-Region players in his career.

Gentry earned his bachelor's degree in behavioral and social science from Rogers State University. He received his master's degree in counseling psychology from Northeastern University.
