HOW IT HAPPENED
Clarksville, Ark. – A strong first half from Hendrix College pushed the visitors to a 2-0 win over the Eagles Monday night at the Wilson Athletic Complex. Hendrix found the back of the net in the 25th minute after owning possession for most of that time. The Warriors added an insurance goal in the 38th minute to lead 2-0 at halftime. After a slow first half, the Eagles would build numerous offensive attacks in the second half. The Eagles would create shots in the box, with a header from Juan De La Rosa sailing just wide at the 64th minute. Just two minutes later, the Eagles were rewarded a penalty kick but came up empty. Victor Escobedo and Giovanni Casias would have solid attempts at the net only to have the first go wide and the second stopped by the goalkeeper. The Eagles would out shoot the Warriors 7-5 in the second half.
