THE BASICS
San Antonio, Texas – Trinity University claimed a 69-63 win over the Eagles Friday night in Texas. The Tigers established a 34-32 halftime lead. A back-and-forth game ensued in the second half with the Eagles holding a lead all the way until the eight minute mark. Trinity went on a 13-2 run over a five-minute span and the Eagles never took back the lead. Neither team shot particularly well in the game with the Tigers hitting 34 percent while the Eagles made 31 percent. The Eagles had a tough time from the three-point line hitting 5-of-28 in the game. James Mathews led the Eagles with 22 points.
