THE BASICS
San Antonio, Texas – The Eagles had a quick start to the game owning a 18-14 lead at the end of the first quarter only to have Trinity University outscore the Eagles 22-3 in the second quarter en route to a 64-51 win on Friday night. The Eagles hit 61 percent in the first quarter but only made 1-of-14 from the field in the second quarter to trail 36-21 at halftime. The Eagles recovered in the second half and scored 16 points in the third quarter and then outscored the Tigers 14-11 in the fourth quarter. However, Trinity's lead was too big and the Eagles hit an uncharacteristic 3-of-20 from the three-point line to make a comeback difficult.
Dalena Fisher led the Eagles with 11 points and ten rebounds.
