THE BASICS
The Eagles easily won the 2025 U of O Invitational title Saturday with six runners finishing among the top-10. The race was especially memorable for seniors Daniel Sanderson and Zachary Wilson, who were both honored in a Senior Day Celebration Ceremony following the race. The Eagles won the race with 23 points. Newman University finished second with 53 points. The first runner to cross the line for the Eagles was Matthew Dunsworth, who ran a 25:21.86. That time placed him as runner-up. Sanderson finished fourth with a time of 25:47.25. Omarion Shaw ran a 26:20.20 for sixth place. Ruben Parra posted a time of 26:42.29 for seventh place. Peyton Jones ran a 26:46.41 for eighth place and Jase McAbee rounded out the top-10 finishes with a ninth-place finish running a 26:48.09. Kaleab Haileselassie was twelfth overall with a time of 27:01.21. Jimmy Mann was thirteenth running a 27:02.23. Troy Putman had a time of 28:39.97 for twenty-first place. Jerry Draper ran a 33:57.19 for twenty-seventh place and Wilson ran a 34:28.63 for twenty-eighth place. The Eagles will compete in the Mississippi College Watson Classic on October 17.
