THE BASICS
The Eagles posted another strong race finishing fourth and Matthew Dunsworth set a new program record at the 8k Mississippi College Watson Classic Friday morning. The Eagles scored 117 points, with winning team Mississippi College earning 63 points. Dunsworth broke the previous record held by Nathan Rankin (25:14.2) running a 25:10.40. Dunsworth was sixth overall. Daniel Sanderson had a 15th place finish running a 25:50.40. Two other Eagles had top-35 performances - Omarion Shaw was 33rd after running a 26:19.60 and Jimmy Mann was 35th with a time of 26:21.90. Ruben Parra ran a 26:34.30 for 48th place. Peyton Jones was 56th overall with a time of 26:46.10. Kaleab Haileselassie ran a 27:22.70 for 74th place and Jase McAbee ran a 27:24.60 for 76th place. The Eagles will now prepare for the SCAC Championships November 1 in Houston, Texas.
