HOW IT HAPPENED
Clarksville, Ark. – The Eagles ended their home slate with a big 1-0 win against Austin College behind Mackenzie Kubien's game-winning goal in the second half. Austin College had a strong first half taking five shots, but the Eagles defense held strong and goalkeeper Jayla Lucas made several huge saves to keep the Kangaroos off the board. The Eagles turned things around in the second half and netted what would be the game-winner. With Jayden Vazquez taking a free kick from 35 yards out, Kubien got around her defender and headed one past a diving keeper to send the Eagles into a celebration. From there, the Eagles defense continued to play well and secured the shutout. Lucas finished with three saves and notched her second shutout of the season.
