Clarksville, Ark. - The University of the Ozarks women's and men's cross country teams will compete in the 2025 NCAA III Midwest Regional Championship on Saturday, November 15 in Waverly, Iowa.
Eight women's runner will compete for the Eagles while seven will run on the men's side.
Chloe Weathers and
Macy Weathers return for regional action from last season.
Chloe Weathers is coming off an All-Conference finish at the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference Championships where she finished tenth overall. The women's team had an outstanding championship race posting their highest finish at a conference championship in over 25 years. The Eagles placed third (101) overall, just behind Texas Lutheran with 99 points.
The men's team had their best finish at a conference championship since 2019 placing fourth overall.
Matthew Dunsworth paced the Eagles with a fifth-place performance running a 25:19.90 to earn All-Conference.
Daniel Sanderson returns to regional competition after competing in Illinois last season.
Under the direction of head coach
Cash Kunkel, the Eagles have improved their times from a year ago and aim to qualify for nationals, which will be held in South Carolina next weekend.
Saturday's start time is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. for the men's 8k and 12 p.m. for the women's 6k. Wartburg College is hosting the Regional Championships.

Wartburg Campus is located at 100 Wartburg Blvd in Waverly, Iowa.
The Max Championship Cross Country Course is located on the NW corner of campus. The course hosted the 2010 NCAA III National Championships as well as several NCAA III Region Championships.

There are NO entry or parking fees for the meet.
No DOGS or other PETS are allowed at the meet, including anywhere on the cross country course or inside the Rec Center. Leave all pets at home or in your vehicle.
