Four members of the men's soccer team were named All-Conference.

Four Named To Men's Soccer All-Conference Team

Clarksville, Ark. - Four men's soccer players were named to the Southern Collegiate Athletic Conference (SCAC) All-Conference Team, the league office announced Thursday, November 6.
    
Sophomore midfielder Giovanni Casias earned a spot on the SCAC All-Second Team, while junior defender Harper Branch, sophomore defender Lyatonga Filos and freshman midfielder Hayden Pickering were named to the Honorable Mention Team.

Casias, a native of Keller, Texas, started in all 18 matches leading the team in every offensive category, including goals (5), assists (5), points (15), shots (26), shots on goal (12), game-winning goals (2) and penalty kicks (4). He had a two-goal performance against St. Thomas and had a goal and an assist against University of Dallas. Against St. Thomas, he took a season-high six shots. He ranked among the SCAC's top-10 in points, points per game, assists and assists per game. He tied for second among all NCAA III players in penalty kicks. He was named All-Conference last season.

Branch, a native of Royse City, Texas, started in all 18 matches ranking among the team's top players in minutes on the pitch. The defensive standout also contributed two goals and six shots. A force in the backline, Branch has started in over 50 career games. He is a two-time All-Conference performer.
 
Filos, a native of Waco, Texas, started in all 18 matches and led the team in minutes played with 1608. The durable Filos was a key in the Eagles' defensive effort during the season while also providing an offensive presence. Filos ended the year with two assists.
 
Pickering, a native of Muskogee, Okla., was among the top freshman on the pitch ranking second on the team in goals (4), points (9) and shots (21). Pickering opened his collegiate career with a goal against Howard Payne. Later in the season, he scored in conference matches against Texas Lutheran and Schreiner. He had a season-high five shots against Howard Payne.
