THE BASICS
Clarksville, Ark. – University of St. Thomas stormed back from a seven-point deficit in the fourth quarter to pull off a 57-56 upset win over the Eagles Friday night in conference play. St. Thomas would outscore the Eagles 17-10 in the fourth quarter, including an 8-0 run with less than five minutes to play. The Eagles had multiple chances to score with the final possession, but couldn't hit the potential game-winner. The Eagles went cold in the fourth hitting only two field goals. The Eagles held a 36-22 halftime lead and went into the final quarter with a 46-40 advantage.
Naomi Smith recorded another double-double with 20 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Eagles.
