THE BASICS
Irving, Texas – The Eagles suffered a tough loss at the hands of University of Dallas Friday night, 68-58, sending the Crusaders to the playoffs later this month. The two evenly matched teams battled all night for a spot in the playoffs and were tied 31-31 at the break. Dallas had a slight lead seven minutes into the second half before the Eagles went cold. But the Eagles fought back went on a 8-0 run to close the gap to 56-51 with about three minutes remaining. Dallas quickly bounced back and never let go of the lead after that.
Adam Lopez led the Eagles with 12 points.

Dallas bounced back late in the second half after the Eagles fought to pull within 56-51 on an 8-0 run.

The Eagles were eliminated from playoff contention with the loss as Dallas won both of the matchups. The Eagles were just one spot in the Blue Division away from making the playoffs.
