GAME ONE
Overview:
Clarksville, Ark. – The Eagles grinded out a 4-1 win in game three of their series against Southwestern University on Sunday behind an outstanding pitching performance from
Mack Lucio. The Eagles took advantage of some defensive miscues from Southwestern. In the third,
Karsyn Tencleve drew a walk and
Allison Cowart executed a perfect sacrifice bunt to advance the runner.
Kya Schmidt followed with another bunt to push Tencleve to third.
Mack Lucio then helped her own cause by recording an RBI groundout. Southwestern committed an error in the fourth and the Eagles took advantage scoring one run to move the score to 2-0. In the sixth, Southwestern had another error and
Isabella Husley and
Madison Sadler each had RBI singles. Husley went 2-for-3 at the plate for the Eagles. Lucio received the win after tossing a complete game scattering five hits.

The Eagles will host Centenary College February 28 in a double-header.
