THE BASICS
Sherman, Texas – Austin College pulled off a 56-51 upset against the Eagles Sunday in Texas after having a big fourth quarter. Despite the loss, the Eagles still qualified for the post-season. The Eagles will take on Texas Lutheran University February 28 in Irving, Texas, in the SCAC Championship Tournament. Against Austin, the Eagles led 40-34 heading into the final quarter. The Eagles kept Austin College to just 18 points in the first half while scoring 30. The Eagles went cold in the fourth quarter, but Austin College had its best quarter of the game. The final five minutes went back-and-forth with Austin eventually taking a 55-49 lead with 1:30 remaining and then allowed just one field goal from the Eagles the rest of the way.
