Clarksville, Ark. – A clutch goal by
Halle Hernandez lifted the Eagles past Mississippi University for Women Saturday to a 2-1 win. Hernandez's game-winning goal came in the 68
th minute on an assist from
Alessandra Aguilar. The Eagles opened the game's scoring in the sixth minute after
Angelina Lotz found the back of the net. Gigi Miller received the assist. Lotz's goal was part of an Eagle attack that created seven shots in the first half. However, the Owls scored in the 25th minute to even the game at 1-1. The Eagles had more scoring opportunities in the second half with eight shots and eventually Hernandez broke through the defense for the game-winner. The Eagles defense kept the Owl offense in check most of the game. Miller,
